Terms & Conditions

The rules for TTD courses, lessons, the Student Portal and Premium membership — including lesson changes, rescheduling and our no-refund policy. By enrolling, paying, signing in or attending, you agree to these Terms.

Effective 1 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-01 ·

1About these Terms

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and TheTradingDad, a business registered in Singapore and operated by Jeff Loh (“TTD”, “we”, “us”). They cover every TTD course, live lesson, recording, coaching session, the TTD Student Portal and its tools, the Premium membership, video courses, Telegram channels and any other TTD product or service (together, the “Services”).

By enrolling in, paying for, accessing or participating in any of the Services — including attending a lesson or signing in to the Student Portal — you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Risk & Financial Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. When you first sign in to the Student Portal (and whenever these Terms change in a material way) you will be asked to confirm your agreement electronically; that confirmation is recorded and is as binding as a signature.

2What we provide

TTD provides education about options and stock trading: live lessons (online or in person), recordings, lesson notes, the Options Playbook, the Watchlist, calculators and other tools, and community channels. Course content, schedules, lesson formats, platforms (for example Zoom or Telegram) and the features of the Student Portal may change from time to time as we improve them.

Nothing in the Services is personalised financial advice. Please read the Risk & Financial Disclaimer carefully.

3Fees and payment

  • Fees are shown in Singapore dollars (unless stated otherwise) on the relevant sign-up page, invoice or checkout before you pay.
  • Fees must be paid in full before access is granted, unless TTD agrees an instalment plan with you in writing. If an instalment is missed, TTD may pause your access until it is paid.
  • Card payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). TTD never sees or stores your full card details.
  • Premium membership is a recurring subscription that renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Student Portal; cancelling stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

4No refunds

All fees paid to TTD are final and non-refundable. This includes course fees, deposits, instalments, Premium membership fees (including any unused part of a billing period), video course and single-lesson purchases, coaching fees and any other fees.

No refund, credit or partial refund is given for change of mind, lessons or sessions you do not attend, partial use of a course, technical problems on your side, dissatisfaction with your trading results, or suspension or termination of your access because you breached these Terms.

Where a lesson is cancelled or rescheduled by TTD, your remedy is the rescheduled lesson or a recording, as set out in section 5. Where a student may reschedule, this is set out in section 6.

Nothing in these Terms removes any right you have under Singapore law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003.

5Lesson cancellations and rescheduling by TTD

  • TTD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any lesson, for any reason.
  • We will give you at least 24 hours' notice of a cancellation or change, except in an emergency (for example illness or injury, a family emergency, a power, internet or platform outage, severe weather or other events outside our control), when we will tell you as soon as we reasonably can.
  • Notice is given through the Student Portal Announcements, the course Telegram group or channel, email or direct message to the contact details you gave us. Please keep them up to date and check them before each lesson.
  • We will normally move the lesson to a new date and time. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a recording (or a recorded equivalent covering the same material) of the cancelled lesson, normally within 7 days.
  • A rescheduled lesson or a recording is the full remedy for a lesson cancelled or moved by TTD. It does not entitle you to a refund.

6If you need to miss a lesson

  • Fees are not refunded for lessons you miss.
  • Rescheduling is possible on compassionate grounds or for a work emergency — for example bereavement, hospitalisation or serious illness affecting you or your immediate family, or an unavoidable, urgent work commitment.
  • Ask as early as possible — ideally at least 24 hours before the lesson, or as soon as you can in a genuine emergency — by messaging TTD. We may ask for reasonable supporting information.
  • Rescheduling is at TTD's discretion and subject to availability. It may mean joining the same lesson in a later run of the course, a catch-up session or access to a recording. It is not a cash refund and cannot be exchanged for credit.
  • For lessons missed for any other reason, a recording may be provided where one exists, but a make-up lesson is not guaranteed.

7Recordings and course materials

  • Lessons may be recorded. By attending, you agree that your name, voice, image and any questions or comments you make may appear in recordings shared with other students of the same course. Turn off your camera and use the chat if you prefer not to appear.
  • Not every lesson is recorded, and recordings may occasionally fail. Where a recording is promised under section 5, we will provide one.
  • Access to recordings, notes and portal features lasts for the period stated for your course or membership, and may be withdrawn after that period ends.

8Your account and acceptable use

  • Your access is personal to you and may not be shared, sold or transferred. One person per account. Do not share your sign-in codes or let anyone else use your access.
  • To protect our content, sign-ins are logged (time, IP address and device type) and course materials may carry a visible personal watermark. Access that appears to be shared may be suspended or ended without refund.
  • You must not record, screen-capture, download, copy, resell, publish or redistribute any lesson, recording, note, watchlist, tool output or other TTD material, or post it on social media, chat groups or file-sharing sites.
  • Be respectful in lessons and community channels. No harassment, spam, promotion of other services, or soliciting other students for money, signals, managed accounts or investments.

9Intellectual property

All content in the Services — including lessons, recordings, slides, notes, the Options Playbook, watchlist write-ups, frameworks, tools, text, graphics, the TTD name and logo — is owned by or licensed to TTD and protected by the Copyright Act 2021 and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own learning while your access lasts. All other rights are reserved.

10Your financial responsibility

By using the Services you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All trading and investment decisions are yours alone, made at your own risk and for your own account. TTD does not trade for you, manage money, or have access to or control over your brokerage account.
  • You are solely responsible for any profits or losses, including losses larger than your initial investment, margin calls, early assignment, and the costs of commissions, fees, spreads, interest and currency conversion.
  • You are responsible for choosing and complying with the rules of your own broker, including any knowledge or suitability assessments required before trading options, and for understanding your broker's margin and risk requirements.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes and reporting obligations in Singapore and anywhere else (for example foreign withholding taxes). TTD does not give tax advice.
  • You will only trade with money you can afford to lose and will seek advice from a licensed financial adviser where appropriate.
  • You will independently verify any information, figures or tool output before relying on it.

11Third-party services and data

The Services rely on third parties such as Zoom, Telegram, Stripe, hosting providers and market-data providers. TTD is not responsible for their availability, accuracy or terms, and links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only. Market data and prices may be delayed or inaccurate.

12Personal data (PDPA)

We handle personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

  • What we collect: your name, mobile number, email, Telegram chat ID, course and membership details, payment status (card details are held by Stripe, not us), sign-in records (time, IP address, device type), video viewing records, notes you save in the portal and messages you send us.
  • Why: to provide and secure the Services, verify your identity when you sign in, prevent account sharing, process payments, send course and service messages, respond to you and meet legal obligations.
  • Who sees it: TTD and the service providers that help us run the Services (for example hosting, payments, messaging and video), only as needed. We do not sell your personal data.
  • Your rights: you can ask to access or correct your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing our Data Protection Officer at jeff@thetradingdad.com. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some Services.
  • Cookies: www.thetradingdad.com and the Student Portal use only essential cookies — to keep you signed in, complete two-step sign-in, remember your display settings and finish an enrolment at checkout. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers. Our website and network provider (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary security cookie to block automated abuse. Card and PayNow payments are completed on Stripe's secure page under Stripe's own privacy policy. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this section and ask for your consent first where required.
  • We keep personal data only as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law, and protect it with reasonable security arrangements.

13Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, TTD and Jeff Loh are not liable for any trading or investment losses, or for any loss of profit, data, opportunity or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Services.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, TTD's total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the fees you paid TTD for the specific Service concerned in the 6 months before the claim arose.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Singapore law, including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

14Indemnity

You agree to compensate TTD for any loss, damage or reasonable costs (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, including sharing your access or copying or distributing TTD content.

15Suspension and termination

TTD may suspend or end your access, without refund, if you breach these Terms, share your access, behave abusively, or if required by law. TTD may also change or discontinue any part of the Services; where this affects a course you have paid for and have not yet completed, we will tell you and provide the remaining content in another reasonable form (such as recordings).

16Events outside our control

TTD is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside its reasonable control, including illness, natural disasters, epidemics, government action, power or internet failures, platform outages and cyber attacks. Affected lessons will be handled as described in section 5.

17Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version and its effective date are always shown on this page. If a change is material, we will tell you through the Student Portal or our usual channels and ask you to confirm your agreement the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

18Governing law and disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
  • If you have a concern, please contact us first at jeff@thetradingdad.com so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may refer the matter to mediation in Singapore (for example at the Singapore Mediation Centre or, for consumer disputes, the Consumers Association of Singapore) before starting court proceedings.
  • Subject to that, the courts of Singapore (including the Small Claims Tribunals, where eligible) have exclusive jurisdiction.

19General

  • These Terms, the Risk & Financial Disclaimer and any written offer or invoice for your course form the entire agreement between you and TTD about the Services. If they conflict, these Terms apply unless the written offer expressly says otherwise.
  • If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a right immediately, we have not waived it.
  • No one other than you and TTD has any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001.
  • These Terms are written in English, which prevails over any translation.
