1Education only — not financial advice
Everything TTD provides — live lessons, recordings, lesson notes, the Options Playbook, the Watchlist, calculators and visualisers, announcements, Telegram posts and any other material — is for general education and information only. It is not a recommendation, offer or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any security, option or other investment product, and it is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
Our material does not take into account your investment objectives, financial situation or particular needs. Before acting on anything you learn from TTD, consider whether it is suitable for you and, if in doubt, seek advice from a financial adviser licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). You can check whether an adviser is licensed on the MAS Financial Institutions Directory.
2Our regulatory status
TTD and Jeff Loh are not licensed or regulated by MAS. We are not a licensed or exempt financial adviser under the Financial Advisers Act 2001, not a holder of a capital markets services licence under the Securities and Futures Act 2001, and not a representative of any such person. We do not manage money, take custody of funds or trade on anyone's behalf, and no adviser–client, fiduciary or similar relationship is created by using the Services.
Trade examples, watchlist entries, price levels, buy zones, strategy setups and “TTD views” describe TTD's own approach and its own trades, shared to illustrate the ideas taught in our courses. They are not a recommendation that you, or anyone else, should make the same trade.
3Options and trading risks
- Trading options and stocks involves a high risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of your money.
- With some strategies — for example selling options, especially uncovered (“naked”) calls — losses can exceed the money you put in, and in theory can be unlimited.
- Options are leveraged and lose value as time passes. Short options can be assigned early. Prices can gap sharply overnight or around earnings and news, and stop orders may not protect you.
- Trading on margin magnifies losses and can lead to margin calls and forced liquidation by your broker.
- Options are complex products. Your broker may require you to pass a knowledge or experience assessment before trading them. Read your broker's risk disclosures, including Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options for US-listed options.
- Trading overseas markets (for example the US) also carries currency risk, different trading hours, foreign tax (such as withholding tax on dividends) and different legal protections.
4No guarantee of results
- Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. No strategy, framework or rule taught by TTD is guaranteed to make money.
- Examples, backtests and model figures (including “chance of profit”, expected move and Greeks) are hypothetical. They are built on assumptions and simplified models such as Black-Scholes, do not reflect real fills, commissions, slippage or taxes, and real results will differ.
- Results achieved by TTD or by students, including any testimonials, are individual and not typical. Your results depend on your own decisions, capital, discipline and market conditions.
5Conflicts of interest
Jeff Loh and TTD actively trade and may hold, buy or sell positions — including options — in securities discussed in lessons, the Watchlist, the Playbook or our channels, before, during or after they are discussed, and may do so without notice. TTD's own positions may differ from, or be the opposite of, anything described.
6Tools, data and accuracy
- Calculators, the Options Visualizer and other tools produce estimates from the numbers you enter and from models. They are learning aids, not trading signals.
- Market data, prices and company figures come from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always check live prices and data with your broker before trading.
- Some written content may be prepared with the help of software, including AI tools, and is reviewed by TTD, but may still contain errors.
- Information is correct only as at the time it was published and may not be updated.
7Tax
TTD does not give tax advice. How your trading gains, losses and dividends are taxed depends on your circumstances. Refer to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and, where needed, a qualified tax professional.
8Protect yourself from scams
TTD will never ask you to transfer money to an individual for trading, to invest in a fund or “managed account”, to share your brokerage login or one-time passwords, or to install remote-access apps. TTD does not offer paid trade signals through private messages.
If someone claiming to be TTD or Jeff Loh contacts you with such a request, do not respond. Check with us at jeff@thetradingdad.com, and report it via ScamShield (call 1799) or the police.
9No warranty and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TTD and Jeff Loh are not liable for any loss or damage, including trading losses, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Services. See the Terms & Conditions for details.
10Your agreement
